Module 04 - Activities



a     Activity 1: Pedagogical strategies enhancing FL teaching experience through CALL. This small questionnaire aims at strengthening the knowledge of the pedagogical perspectives to better the FL learning/teaching through CALL. This activity addresses the objective one.

b     Activity 2: Technological Needs Enhancing FL Teaching or Learning via CALL. This activity consists of a main question where the reader must prioritize his/her technology needs and provide a rationale for the choice made. The purpose of this activity is to learn and justify at least three key factors that are important for a better experience in FL learning and teaching through technology. This activity addresses the objective two
Prompt: What component would you consider as technologically important to ensure a good experience of teaching and learning FL. Choose among the following list and provide a rationale of your choice.

c      Activity 3: Global world and FL through CALL questions. This is a series of questions related to the third goal. The aim of this activity is for the reader to be able to give a reason of the necessity of using CALL to teach or learn FL in a global word. This activity addresses the objective three.

01.  Why should a FL teacher focus on the interdisciplinary connection, communications, and cultures while using CALL today?
02.  Evaluate the importance of “comparisons” as one of the 21st century condition in teaching or learning FL through CALL.
03.  Why should technological FL learners participate in multilingual communities?
04.  How can you explain the following equation in relation to learning/teaching FL by the mean of CALL programs: multiliteracy = multiculturalism + multimedia.
